Description
*The Lovestory Rosé from the Strehn family winery, located in the picturesque wine region of Mittelburgenland, is a fascinating rosé wine made from the Blaufränkisch grape variety, which wonderfully reflects the characteristics of the terroir, the climatic conditions and the art of winemaking of winemaker Pia Strehn.
The vineyards stretch across a region protected by the gentle Bucklige Welt to the west, the imposing Ödenburg mountain range to the north and the majestic Günser Gebirge to the south. The unique composition of the terroir has a profound influence on the character of this rosé wine. The soils, consisting of slate, limestone and clay, give it a remarkable minerality and depth. The vines benefit from a Pannonian climate from the east, which is characterized by warm and dry winds. With more than 300 days of sunshine a year and low rainfall, the grapes thrive under ideal conditions.
The sustainable cultivation of the vineyards is a top priority for the Strehn family winery, with preference given to environmentally friendly practices. The grapes are carefully selected by hand, and only the best and ripest are used to make the wine. Gentle pressing and spontaneous fermentation in stainless steel tanks ensure that the fine aromas and freshness are preserved. After the fermentation process, the Lovestory Rosé undergoes 18 months of maturation in barriques, which gives it additional complexity and structure while retaining its elegance and finesse.
