Description
*Lovestory Rosé from the Strehn family vineyard, located in the picturesque wine region of Mittelburgenland, is a fascinating rosé wine made from the Blaufränkisch grape variety. It wonderfully reflects the terroir’s characteristics, climate conditions, and winemaking artistry of winemaker Pia Strehn.*
The vineyards stretch across a protected region, bordered to the west by the gentle Bucklige Welt, to the north by the imposing Ödenburger mountains, and to the south by the majestic Günser Gebirge. The unique terroir composition deeply influences the character of this rosé wine. The soils, composed of schist, limestone, and clay, impart remarkable minerality and depth. The vines benefit from a Pannonian climate from the east, characterized by warm, dry winds. With over 300 days of sunshine per year and low precipitation, the grapes thrive in ideal conditions.
Sustainable vineyard management is a priority for the Strehn family vineyard, focusing on environmentally friendly practices. Grapes are carefully hand-selected, with only the best and ripest used for vinification. Gentle pressing and spontaneous fermentation in stainless steel tanks ensure the preservation of delicate aromas and freshness. Following fermentation, Lovestory Rosé undergoes 18 months of aging in barrels, adding complexity and structure while maintaining its elegance and finesse.
