It is no longer a secret that Styria is known for its great Sauvignon Blancs. This one is also convincing with a great price-pleasure ratio and easily beats many well-known single-vineyard wines.
Matured in large wooden barrels, it has a lot of power without losing its fruitiness and lightness. Seductive aroma of nettle with exotic fruits (passion fruit). Dense aromas on the palate, dry with a fine acid structure that demands more to drink. Salty finish, discreet extract sweetness and a long, discreetly lemony aftertaste. Here, the water literally runs together in the mouth.
Great storage potential of 10 – 15 years with incipient drinking maturity. Also goes well with spaghetti with strong sauces (carbonara) but also with freshwater fish.
