Description
Corvina Veronese 55%, Corvinone 35%, Rondinella 10%
Passito Amandorlato, the wine recently launched by our company, is one of the finest products selected by the Accordini family only during the best harvests and to which we pay the utmost attention. An intensive ageing period of six years in small cherry wood barrels gives Passito Amandorlato a unique character that is one of the best expressions of the Valpolicella tradition. The bitter note of the cherry wood is finely balanced by the sweetness, making it a wine that lies between Amarone and Recioto.
The vineyard, called “il Fornetto”, is located in the heart of Valpolicella Classica in the hilly area below the town of Negrar. The altitude ranges from 200 to 230 meters above sea level. South-east exposure. Soil type: very varied, alluvial. Grown on dry terraces.
Matured in cherry wood barrels for 6 years. Bottle matured for 12 months.
Excellent at the end of the meal, it goes very well with chocolate desserts.
Serve at a temperature of 10°-12°C.
